HAR’s annual conference, the BIG e, will be here soon! This is the 6th year that the BIG e will be around and we’ve spent the last 5 years fine tuning this event to meet the needs of our members. Our goal as your local professional association is to provide you with quality programming, speakers, topics and ideas. With the help of our 2016 BIG e Chair, Roxane Witte of John Daugherty REALTORS, we’ve developed practical yet innovative sessions at the BIG e this year.

One of the biggest changes we’ve made this year is that now EVERYONE IS A VIP! There will be 17 sessions throughout the day that you will have full access to attend. The Red Oak Ballroom will host our keynotes and VIP luncheon speaker, Alex Brennan-Martin of the renowned Brennan’s of New Orleans and Houston restaurant family. The Magnolia Room will host captivating speakers on social media and technology. The Live Oak room has undergone the biggest and most exciting change of all.
The Live Oak room has been known for great speakers and little seating. This year, we’ve turned up the volume – we’ve removed all the seating, added energizing music, TV screens, cool lighting and high energy speakers. The Live Oak room will be hosting a series called Apps for Life. This standing room only space will provide 20 minute fast-paced presentations with 10 minute Q&A sessions designed to teach you about apps you could be using in your business today. We want you to be able to download an app and walk out using it right away.
Helping us with this venture are great speakers such as Katie Maxwell of Intero Real Estate Services, Tara Whitting of The Tallon Consulting Firm, and Cristina Schaefer and Marilyn Maxwell, HAR’s Training and Member Outreach Specialists. We’ll cover apps on Time Management, Social Media, Video, Mobile Security, Lifestyle and more. No matter the level of technology you are currently using, you will walk out with something new that you can use in your business.
