HAR will be offering the Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) certification at our Montgomery location. This 12-hour certification is approved for MCE credit and will provide you with all the tools necessary to find help for your buyer.
This program is broken up into the following two courses:
1. United Texas Housing Initiatives – 4 hrs.
2. TAHS Elective Training – 8 hrs.
United Texas: Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS)
The Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) certification equips Texas REALTORS® with the knowledge to help increase sustainable homeownership across Texas. It aims to educate you about state programs available to assist buyers and to provide information to help at-risk homeowners manage their current situation. The more you know about affordable housing programs, the better you can assist your clients in making homeownership a reality. The better your understanding of processes surrounding short sales and foreclosures, the more guidance you can provide on either side of these transactions

TAHS Elective Training
This training will offer insight on what HUD Code manufactured housing is and how it can be converted to real property, provide a definition of workforce housing while identifying barriers to and suggested solutions for affordable housing issues, and offer a walk through the FHA lending process.
