The holiday season brought numerous galas and luncheons for REALTORS® to attend, but for Beth Wolff, two of these events also brought much-deserved recognition for her contributions to Houston’s community.
The Greater Houston Section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) hosted Red, Hot and Rhythm Gala on Saturday, November 20. Beth Wolff, owner of Beth Wolff REALTORS®, and her son Ed Wolff and wife, Katy, were presented with the 2010 Faith and Humanity Award for their outstanding examples of community service and advocacy. NCJW stated their selection of the three: “This year we wanted to honor a multigenerational family who makes a difference in the lives of women, children and families. The Wolff family has made a difference on a local, national, and international level for women, children, and families. Further, they each use unique expertise to advance the causes they most care about. There are few families who can boast such a range of involvement and roles throughout the community, especially across generations.”
The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce also recognized Beth at its Third Annual Greater Houston Women’s Hall of Fame Gala and Silent Auction on Thursday, December 9. Beth was among eleven exemplary women honored as a Hall of Fame Inductee for 2010 in recognition of her significant contributions to the advancement of women and improving the quality of life for future generations of Houstonians. Suzan Deison, Chamber President, introduced the 2010 inductees with a video tribute and presented their awards, which were signed by Gov. Rick Perry. First Lady Anita Perry served on this year’s host committee.
Dana Kervin, Houston Association of REALTORS’® Chief Political Strategist and longtime friend, had this to say of Beth’s recent recognitions: “Beth’s accomplishments and dedication to the Houston community are evident in all aspects of her life. Over the years, Beth’s impact has been felt and her passion has been admired. Beth is an example of true leadership, service and grace, and HAR is proud to call her one of our own.”
