Become a leader today! Due to its overwhelming success, HAR will once again offer REALTOR® members the opportunity to take part in an extensive 8 month leadership program. Each session will equip participants with the tools necessary to grow both personally and professionally.

Become a Certified Negotiation Expert
This course is one of the top new designations in real estate and is taught nationally by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

The GRI designation is the most widely recognized of the National Real Estate Designations. Consisting of three course, each taught by experts in their respective fields. These topics include: Finance, Marketing and Brokerage. This is a great program for new members seeking SAE credit.

The Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification
The goal of Military Relocation Professional Certification Core Course is to educate real estate professionals about working with current and former military service members to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs—as sellers or buyers–and take full advantage of military benefits and support. Students will learn how to provide the real estate services—at any stage in the service member’s military career—that meet the needs of this niche market and win future referrals.
- Learn the processes and procedures involved in a military relocation and how these impact service members’ relocation and housing choices.
- Use demographics of the military market to formulate business strategies and determine service offerings for sellers and buyers.
- Provide information to help members through a rent or buy, sell or rent decision-making process.
- Enhance your sensitivity to the emotional issues involved when a military family relocates.
- Identify and provide services that help service members sell or find and purchase suitable homes.
- Apply knowledge of the military relocation process to guide service members through the real estate transaction.
- Explain the basics of VA financing.
- Recognize situations in which a buyer is eligible for VA financing.

Evictions – What Every REALTOR® Needs to Know!
Evictions will always be a part of property management. If you own or manage just one residential rental or hundreds of residential rentals, you will need to know the steps to follow in order to have a successful eviction suit. In this course you will learn the eviction steps to take when a tenant does not pay rent, when a tenant is holding over after a lease term, and how to file eviction suits for persons of foreclosed properties. You will also have the information needed to prepare a script for trial as an aid to properly present statements and information at an eviction hearing. The material also provides information concerning evicting tenants who are in military service, tenants who file pauper’s affidavits, and tenants and former owners residing in foreclosed properties.

Become an Affordable Housing & Certified Military Residential Specialist
The Texas Affordable Housing Specialist certification equips Texas REALTORS with the knowledge to help increase sustainable homeownership. It aims to educate you about state programs available to assist buyers and to provide information to help at-risk homeowners manage their current situation. The more you know about affordable housing programs, the better you can assist your clients in making home ownership a reality.
Participation in all three days are required to earn the designation.
