Nancy Furst’s distinguished real estate career began in 2001 in Pearland, Texas, with a primary focus on selling land and acreage for residential and commercial use. After only two years in the business, she earned the prestigious awards of Top Listing and Top Sales agent in her office, awards that she won again the following year. Nancy attributes her persistent and resilient work ethic to her father, Rayford Coulter, who at an early age taught her the importance of working and establishing good relationships. Within five years of entering the industry, Nancy began her own firm, The Furst Group.
In 2014, Nancy joined Mike Huff at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties–bringing along her team of diverse professionals – Ed Gonzales, Tina Wilcher, Julius Henson, Antonio Salinas, and Margarete Schmitz-Salinas. The team’s specific areas of expertise include international, commercial and residential sales and leasing. They are also fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and German.
Nancy’s volunteer involvement with HAR began when she was became aware of the (Keough) lawsuit regarding eminent domain in New England. Realizing HAR’s advocacy for its members and consumers prompted her to take action and become more involved. Since that time, Nancy has served on numerous committees, including Political and Governmental Affairs, International, Risk Management, and Management Central. Nancy’s involvement in HAR addresses housing markets, housing policy, political action, mortgage finance and urban growth.
Nancy’s “EPIC” approach – Engage with Passion, Innovate through Collaboration – to tackling current and future real estate issues dictates her commitment in leading HAR as the 2015 Chair.
Nancy is dedicated to encouraging young professionals to become involved in HAR and wants to provide all REALTORS® with the tools and education necessary to succeed in the real estate industry which conveys her favorite motto: “Teamwork makes the dream work.”
It is HAR’s great honor to call Nancy Furst its 2015 Chair of the Board.
