Martha Turner installed Nancy Furst as HAR 2015 Chair of the Board.
Members of the Houston City Council, representatives of the Texas Association of REALTORS® and past and present HAR
leaders were among nearly 400 guests at the River Oaks Country Club on December 10 attending REALTOR® Celebration. HAR’s biggest event of the year culminated with the swearing in of the 2015 HAR Board of Directors and incoming Chair, Nancy Furst, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties.
Along with Furst, the 2015 HAR Executive Committee is comprised of Chair-elect Mario Arriaga, Vice Chair 1 Cindy Hamann, Vice Chair 2 Kenya Burrell, Secretary/Treasurer Shannon Cobb-Evans and Immediate Past Chair Chaille Ralph. Serving as HAR directors in 2015 are Marilyn Arendt, Diana Ayers, Christi Borden, John Braun, Cheri Fama, Danny Frank, Pamela Harris, Michelle Hatmaker, Terri Lyons, Mike Mahlstedt, Katie Maxwell, Ronnie Miranda,Dovie Morgan, Bill Neill, John Nugent, Ignacio Osorio, Chuck Poteet and Tim Surratt.
2015 HAR Board of Directors are installed.
REALTOR® Celebration also honored two outstanding real estate professionals for their exceptional dedication and community stewardship. HAR Immediate Past Chairman Danny Frank, with Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS®, was honored as 2014 REALTOR® of the Year and Mike Huff, broker-owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties, received the 2014 John E. Wolf Community Service Award.

HAR President and CEO Bob Hale saluted outgoing HAR Chair Chaille Ralph for her tireless commitment to the Association and the real estate industry throughout 2014. Hale narrated a retrospective about Ralph’s year of service featuring slides from events she attended around the country on behalf of HAR – many with her unofficial sidekick, daughter Ashley.
Guests watched a video about Furst’s incredible personal and professional journey, beginning as a child in San Augustine, Texas through the launch of her distinguished real estate career in Pearland in 2001 and all the successes that followed. The video featured comments from clients, friends and others who described Furst’s warmth, compassion, vision and willingness to always go the extra mile. Viewers also enjoyed a montage of photos from the different phases of Furst’s life.
Furst’s leadership theme for 2015 is EPIC – Engage with Passion, Innovate through Collaboration.
