Approximately 2,500 REALTORS® and affiliate members from across the state of Texas gathered at the capitol in Austin on March 26 for REALTOR® Day at the Texas Capitol 2019. 2019 was our largest group to register to date! This number included a seven bus, 250-person delegation from the greater Houston area.
HAR members, including HAR and TREPAC leadership, visited with state lawmakers on the following key public issues and related bills filed in the 86th Texas Legislature:
- Disaster Response
- Texas Real Estate Commission Sunset Review
- School Finance Reform
- Eminent Domain
- Property Tax Reform/Relief
- Home Equity
- Annexation

Congressional Visits –May 13-18, 2019 in Washington D.C.
Mark your calendars to join us for congressional visits in Washington, D.C. on Monday, May 13 thru Saturday, May 18. HAR’s elected leadership, Federal Political Coordinators, Governmental Affairs and TREPAC Directors will also be there working with NAR to advocate for the business interests of HAR members and the real estate industry.

We will be hosting our congressional representatives at HAR’s annual Greater Harris County Congressional Delegation breakfasts, which will be held at Tortilla Coast from 8 -10 a.m. on May 15 and 16.
