2024 was a huge year for HAR Political Affairs and TREPAC as it was a pivotal election year on all levels of government. Throughout the year, the HAR Political Affairs and TREPAC team, along with our amazing volunteers serving on the Political Affairs Advisory Group (PAAG), Political Affairs Advisory Leadership (PAAL), and TREPAC Advisory Group hosted nearly 50 meetings and events, conducted 45 candidate interviews resulting in a 91% success rate in elections, all while once again raising more than $1 million for TREPAC.

We especially want to thank our advisory group chairs for their fearless leadership throughout what was an extremely busy year.

What to Expect in 2025

While there may not be high-profile elections at the federal or state levels in 2025, some critical local elections are on the calendar. First, in May, the City of Sugar Land will elect a new mayor and hold city council elections for At-Large Positions 1 and 2. The City of Pearland will also conduct elections in May for City Council Positions 1, 5 and 6. Then in November, Missouri City will hold elections for mayor and At-Large City Council Positions 1 and 2, and The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will have Positions 5, 6 and 7 on the ballot.

We are looking forward to a successful 2025 with an outstanding group of chairs leading our five advisory groups.
