HAR’s MLS Update for February 2010, reporting increased sales volume in homes priced from $250,000 and above as well as continued price appreciation, generated coverage in late March by the following media outlets:

KUHF/Houston Public Radio morning anchor David Pitman interviewed HAR Chair Margie Dorrance about time running out for consumers to take advantage of the federal homebuyer tax credit. The story aired the morning of April 12.
HAR Vice Chairman Danny Frank explained to KTRK-TV/Eyewitness News reporter Deborah Wrigley how Congress beginning its recess without renewing the National Flood Insurance Program could affect homebuyers. The story was broadcast on the evening of April 5.
For a homebuilding story that was published on April 2, Houston Business Journal real estate reporter Jennifer Dawson interviewed HAR Chair Margie Dorrance about the popularity of single-family homes in the $80,000 to $150,000 price range.
In addition, HAR provided assistance on foreclosure-related stories for radio stations KTRH and KUHF during the week of April 12.
