Houston Business Journal real estate reporter Jennifer Dawson interviewed HAR Board Vice Chairman Danny Frank, who chairs HAR’s technology advisory group, for her June 18 story about the recently introduced price reduction feature on HAR.com
HAR Chair of the Board Margie Dorrance was an in-studio guest on the June 20 KTRK-TV (13 Eyewitness News) Sunday morning news broadcast. She discussed the boost the Houston real estate market enjoyed as a result of the homebuyer tax credit as well as the urgency of congressional action to extend the National Flood Insurance Program.
The Houston Business Journal reported in its June 25 edition about HAR President and CEO Bob Hale receiving the 2010 IABC/Houston Communication Leadership Award. The story quotes Bob as saying, “The entire HAR staff works hard every day to make sure consumers know the value of a Realtor in a real estate transaction and to communicate the benefits of the association to our members. To have what we do recognized with this honor, and to know it comes from communications practitioners, makes it all the more meaningful.”
The local business news website Citybizlist Houston reported on July 1 about HAR’s implementation of Microsoft Tag technology in the monthly Houston REALTOR® magazine as well as on the business cards of HAR staff.
HAR Chair Margie Dorrance was quoted in a July 2 front-page Houston Chronicle story about the U.S. Senate vote to reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program through September 30. She praised the move which enabled many stalled home closings to proceed.
HAR provided data and assistance to Houston Business Journal reporter Casey Wooten for his July 2 story about the role property management companies play in the Houston market.
HAR also provided local data to Inman News for its July 8 story about the prevalence of cash buyers in real estate deals around the country.
These stories and more are chronicled in the HAR Online Newsroom at www.har.com/newsroom.
