HAR provided MLS data to Wall Street Journal reporter Nancy Keates for her October 24 story about how Hurricane Harvey has transformed the house-hunting process across Houston.
HAR Chair Kenya Burrell-VanWormer was quoted in an October 22 article by Houston Business Journal real estate reporter Fauzeya Rahman about new disruptive forces entering the Houston market, including Opendoor. Kenya explained how HAR has always embraced new business models.
The Houston Chronicle ran a large spread in its Sunday, October 21 real estate section announcing winners of HAR’s 2018 Young Professionals Network (YPN) ‘20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate Awards,’ along with a black and white group photo with HAR Chair Kenya Burrell-VanWormer and keynote speaker Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. The article featured short bios of the recipients. It was also published with the color version of the photo on chron.com online.
Houston Agent Magazine cited HAR data in its October 18 article about a strong third quarter for Houston and other housing markets across Texas.
