HAR Governmental Affairs Advisory Group Co-Chair Ed Wolff shared his expertise with KPRC-TV/Local 2 about the role investors and bargain-hunters are playing in the local housing market with properties damaged by Hurricane Harvey. The story aired in the 10 p.m. news broadcast on May 11.
Forbes real estate correspondent Cynthia Lescalleet quoted HAR Chair Kenya Burrell-VanWormer and Stewart Title Chief Economist and former HAR Chairman Ted C. Jones, Ph.D. about the vitality of the Houston housing market eight months after Harvey. Her national story published on May 10.
In a CW-39/Newsfix story about the Houston real estate market, HAR Chair Kenya Burrell-VanWormer advised Houston home shoppers: “We are still in a sellers’ market right now because of our inventory, but understand that there is the right home out there for you, it will just require a little more patience in this market.” The story aired on May 10.
Houston Chronicle (Chron.com) digital producer Heather Leighton cited HAR data in her May 2 “Peek into the most expensive homes sold in Houston in April 2018” online feature, which included full-color photos of the properties courtesy of the listing agents/brokerages that are credited in the report.
On April 24, Houston Business Journal web producer Jen Para took online readers on a virtual tour of the 10 most expensive homes sold in March 2018 using data provided by HAR. Her feature was also complemented by color photos of the properties courtesy of the listing agents/brokerages cited in the report.
