On May 10, HAR Fort Bend hosted Legends and Diamonds at the Ballpark. This evening reception at the new Constellation Field, or “Skeeter’s Stadium” as some of you more affectionately call it, was a fantastic success. HAR hit it out the park by raising slightly more than $20,000 for TREPAC 2012.
The event included a VIP reception and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the new ballpark, live and silent auctions, a diamond sweepstakes and lots of great networking with local elected officials. The nearly 200 guests in attendance included Sugar Land Mayor James Thompson, Sugar Land City Council Members Amy Mitchell and Jacque Chaumette (also HAR’s Recommended Candidate for Texas House District 26), Sugar Land City Council Members-Elect Himesh Gandhi and Joe Zimmerman, Rosenberg Mayor Victor Morales, Missouri City City Council Member Floyd Emery as well as Fort Bend County Commissioners James Patterson and Andy Meyers.
During a short program, Fort Bend Legends and Diamonds Chair Linda Bell recognized several local cities, the county and a few local developers for their foresight in helping to develop Fort Bend into the dynamic region it is today. Fort Bend County Commissioner Patterson then took over the microphone for a heated live auction. All this was going while attendees enjoyed fabulous food and explored the new stadium. The Skeeter’s and Legends Club professional staff provided the perfect festive atmosphere and helped create a unique twist to a Fort Bend REALTOR® tradition.
Special thanks to Linda Bell for chairing the committee and the leadership in Fort Bend for helping to pull together all the pieces of the event. It is volunteers that make the difference! Congratulations to everyone!
