Contracts 101: From Customer to Client
This is a basic real estate contract class designed for the most recent agent, the less experienced agent, the agent returning to the business after a break and all REALTORS® who want to be able to complete TAR and TREC contract forms with confidence and expertise. Contracts included in this are the Residential Listing Agreement Exclusive Right to Sell and the Buyer-Tenant Representation Agreement. The class will cover each paragraph to be sure the student can explain it (without practicing law without a license). Each fill-in-the-blank will be covered along with how the agent can be sure the information is correct. Confusion about negotiable items will be covered. Time frames will be discussed and reinforced. This is a companion course to the basic Contracts 101, Customer to Client class, and like that course is designed for the most recent agent, the less experienced agent, the agent returning to the business after a break, and all Realtors® who want to maintain a high level of knowledge on how to complete the forms and addenda which customarily accompany the TAR Residential Listing Agreement-Exclusive Right to Sell, and the Residential Buyer-Tenant Representation Agreement. After a brief review of the primary agreements, the class will cover how to complete forms and addenda for each agreement to be sure the student is comfortable with the content and can explain it. Each fill-in-the-blank will be covered, along with how the agent can be sure the information is correct. Confusion about who prepares which items will be covered. Time frames will be discussed and reinforced. Areas where agents routinely error will be emphasized.
