The HAR Board of Directors has voted to maintain the current dues level for the 11th year in a row. In fact, when combining HAR dues and MLS subscriber fees, the total amount paid is actually lower than what was paid in 1997. Not many associations can say that.
The greater Houston real estate market has been the strongest we have seen in many years, and we announced recently that more than 1 million homes have been sold through HAR.com since its inception. That is a testament to each of you and your hard work since HAR.com would not exist without each of you.
HAR continues to receive accolades across the country for our ground-breaking Consumer Research Panel work that has provided some valuable insight into the minds and actions of Houston-area consumers. For instance, our recent survey showed that 92 percent of consumers would find it beneficial to have a transaction management system to follow along the steps of the process. The HAR-ETS transaction management solution, powered by SureClose®, was launched last year and has seen exponential growth in usage among our members during the past year. After an initial firm setup fee of $350-$500, depending on the size of your firm and desired customization, there are no additional transaction fees. That is a huge benefit to you as a member as well as your clients.
Some of the best tools and services that HAR provides were the direct result of members like you picking up the phone or emailing a suggestion. We always welcome member input should you have ideas about how to strengthen your business or do things differently in general as an Association.
