How can you gather the latest real estate industry information so vital to your business and still be able to enjoy the sand, surf and sun? Head to Galveston Island this fall for the 2010 Texas REALTORS® Convention and Trade Expo. There will be lots of cool learning going on inside the Galveston Island Convention Center and plenty of time to enjoy the Island’s natural splendor and incredible dining options and social scene each evening.
The Convention and Trade Expo runs from September 13 – 15. This is your opportunity to network with fellow REALTORS® from across the state of Texas, share new ideas and learn about the latest technology. With 25 education sessions offering more than 50 hours of MCE, there are sure to be classes to help you meet the needs of your growing business. Session topics include customer relationships, risk reduction, time management, gadgets and tools to make you more efficient, tax strategies to keep more money in your pocket and so much more.
The opening session speaker is Rick Rigsby, who wowed the audience at the 2009 TAR leadership conference and returns to share more of his wisdom and humor. Don’t miss out on his inspirational message, “The Essence of Greatness.”
Attendees will have access to programs offering important information ranging from how to help the homebuyer of today and tomorrow tackle tighter lending restrictions and navigate the credit-scoring system, to the art of effective communication; prospecting; diving into the world of international real estate. HAR’s own Amy Smythe Harris will help you unravel the use of social media in your business and become comfortable with the growing social media revolution.
If you can make it to Galveston a few days early, you’ll be able to participate in TAR governance meetings scheduled for September 10 – 12, prior to the start of convention activities. REALTORS® are encouraged to attend a regional caucus or sit in on one of the forums about the latest legal and regulatory issues affecting the real estate profession.
