In 1980 Carlos P. Bujosa started his real estate career with The Horne Company, training under Bill McDade. Carlos was involved in the sale of land and improved properties and concentrated in the Inner Loop and the Greenway Plaza / Upper Kirby District area, where he continues to be active in much of the commercial sales activity.
Carlos is a former State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, having joined a prominent appraisal and consulting firm in 1986. His work there included appraisals / consulting on shopping centers, office buildings, industrial properties, and land. These assignments were done for the Houston Housing Authority, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, the RTC and the FDIC.
In 1989 he formed Paramount Commercial Property Services, Inc., where his clients included Texas Commerce Bank, First City Bank, and the FDIC. While he concentrated on land sales, he also sold more than 1 million square feet of improved property.
Carlos joined McDade, Smith, Gould, Johnston, Mason + Company in 1998 and became a shareholder in 2001. His diverse real estate background has given him the knowledge to uniquely assist his clients in valuation and decision making on acquisitions and sales. He has a thorough understanding of a wide range of property types including land, shopping centers and office buildings. Some of his primary activities have been the sale of office buildings to owner-occupants, as well as site selection for his retail and developer clients. Additionally, he has been involved in valuation and consulting assignments. His clients have included U.S. Trust, Bank of America, Whitney National Bank, JP Morgan Chase, and numerous estates, investors and developers.
In the fall 2010, Carlos joined Transwestern as a vice president-general brokerage services, specializing in the disposition and acquisition of land and freestanding/multi-tenant buildings, as well as tenant representation services for institutional and private owners.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin and is Past Chairman of HAR’s Commercial Division / Commercial Gateway. Carlos is a Board Member of the Texas Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. He is also a member of ICSC, the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Carlos is a Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Houston, and a past Board Member of the Kiwanis Foundation of Houston. He is a Board Member of The Armand Bayou Nature Center Foundation and Houstonians for Responsible Growth. Carlos is a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Fay School and a past member of the Parents Association Board at The Kinkaid School.
