We asked Paul to reflect on his real estate career and describe what this honor means to him.
What was your first reaction when you learned that you were the 2024 honoree?
I was stunned and so incredibly honored to be chosen for this prestigious award. I am humbled and so proud of my involvement at HAR.
What does this honor mean to you?
This honor means a lot to me and everyone that has helped get me to this point. Especially during a time when our REALTOR® brand is under attack, it makes the award that much more special.
What do you find most gratifying about your work as a real estate professional?
My most gratifying gift of my work has changed. Before I was in management, seeing the clients happy at closing and helping them embark on a big change was rewarding. Now that I am in management, my joy is helping agents thrive in all aspects of their business, especially with the use of technology.
What advice would you offer new real estate professionals or folks considering entering the real estate profession given current market conditions, opportunities and challenges?
An agent I knew once sat down with Ebby Halliday, an iconic legend in real estate in Dallas. Her best advice to him was to, “never do it for the dollar, do it for the service and the dollar will come.”
What other thoughts or comments can you share with our readers?
