Commercial Expo is expanding this year with a new program in a new location.
This year’s program starts with a keynote address at 5:00 p.m. from Mr. John C. Cushman III. Hence the new title
“Commercial Expo – Living Legends.” Following Mr. Cushman’s presentation, the traditional expo and networking event will open for attendees. The complete 2011 Commercial Expo — Living Legends happens from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Westin Galleria Hotel, 5060 W. Alabama.
The annual commercial trade show is sponsored by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) and Commercial Gateway, the Commercial Division of the Houston Association of REALTORS®. Previously known as Developer Day when the event originated in1983, the expo continues to provide commercial developers and brokers the opportunity to showcase their properties, network with
colleagues and get deals done.
This year’s program will feature the first of SIOR’s Living Legends Speaker Series, with John C. Cushman III as the keynote speaker. As Chairman of the Board of Cushman & Wakefield, John Cushman is responsible for formulating and articulating strategic policies and initiatives for the company on a domestic and global basis. Prior to becoming chairman, Cushman was recognized as the top office leasing broker in the country. He negotiated the largest office lease in the world – 4 million square feet for Merrill Lynch’s headquarters in New York City’s World Financial Center. He is an active member on a number of company boards and community organizations and recently completed a two-year term as national president of the Boy Scouts of America and president of the Boy Scouts of America Foundation.
The Commercial Expo exhibits and networking event will follow Cushman’s keynote address. Sponsorship opportunities are limited but are still available.
