Changes to the HAR Marketing System

By now, you may have noticed a difference when creating flyers and other marketing materials for your listings on HAR.com. The HAR Marketing System was formerly “powered by” 8Touches.com, which was acquired by RR Donnelley. RR Donnelley is using HearstDirect to handle the production of these marketing tools, and is offering a free 60-day trial period to HAR members. Once the trial period is over, HAR members can subscribe to their HAR “members only” basic package, which includes unlimited PDF downloads and access to the HAR templates for $14.95/month.

1. Order History and Drafts
With the old HAR Marketing & Printing Services through 8touches.com, you did not have the ability to save drafts or view your order history. Now you may save your work at any step of the process. Save your flyer and if there is a price adjustment, simply edit your flyer to change just the price! No more need to completely re-create the flyer from scratch. The Order History section allows you to copy previous orders and view order information such as print date, shipping/tracking information, expected delivery date and recipient addresses (for direct mail orders).

2. Access to more than 1,000 templates now
You now have access to more than 1,000 templates simply by clicking on the “8touches Templates” link. Take advantage of the hundreds of Farming templates, Action Card Templates, Seasonal Marketing, and more direct mail pieces. It takes 8 touches for someone to remember you. Have your own direct mail piece you have created? Use the Upload Your Own feature (again, accessible by clicking the “8touches Templates” link).

3. Marketing Director (FREE) – Marketing yourself has never been easier
Of all the new features to your HAR Marketing and Printing services site, this is the one must see feature. Marketing Director is our proprietary system that automatically creates your Just Listed or Just Sold items within 24 hours after being listed with HAR and emails you the completed item. If you want to mail the item, all addresses are already grabbed also. Marketing has never been this easy. FREE SERVICE FOR HAR MEMBERS. Just click on the “Marketing Director” link for more information and to choose your templates. It takes less than a minute to set everything up.

4. CMA direct mail pieces that auto-populate with the CMA data
Create a CMA card to market to your farm area! Our system grabs all the data automatically and creates the card. Then, use our mapping to create your address list or upload your own list. To access on the site, just click on Direct Mail and then either the Long CMA or Short CMA and choose your color.

5. E-mail-friendly flyers
Along with options for printing your flyers from your own printer or choosing the professional print option, you now have the option to create E-mail-friendly images of your flyers. 8touches does not facilitate the emailing of the flyers and all questions regarding the actual emailing of the flyers should be directed to your own IT staff or another third party.

6. Mapping – Save Address Lists
Our mapping system now allows you to SAVE YOUR ADDRESS LIST. You now only have to map out your farm area one time. Simply save the list and use the list every time you want to market to that area! You may have up to five lists saved in the system.
