In early March, The HAR International Advisory Group teamed up with the HAR Professional Development Department and offered a lunch and learn session to members on how to list international properties into Area 82 of the HAR MLS.
The class sold out in just a few days so plans are being made to offer the course on a more frequent basis. Since more and more REALTORS have international ties it makes sense for them to utilize Area 82 to input their global property listings.
TREC approved instructor and HAR Chairman elect, Richard Miranda, CIPS, was the session’s main presenter. He talked about what you need to do if you get an opportunity to take an international listing and what documents need to be signed before you enter the global listing into Area 82 of the HAR MLS.
Nathan Goble, MLS Project Manager for HAR, walked the attendees through the process of listing a global listing into Area 82. Some fields are different, for example, since other countries do not have zip codes you would enter 00000 into that field.
