The HAR Global & AMPI Global Mentorship program was a three-day program that showcased how real estate is conducted in
Houston, the opportunities Houston has, how HAR is structured and the benefits HAR provides its members. We had panelists from the HAR Global Advisory committee discuss their experiences being brokers, listing agents & buyer’s agents. We had an immigration attorney discuss common nonimmigrant visas and we had an international tax attorney discuss tax aspects of buying US property.
AMPI is the Association of Mexican Real Estate Professionals which is considered the equivalent to NAR. The idea of holding this mentorship program came about in March 2023 when Alejandro Miranda with AMPI came to visit Houston to discuss how HAR and AMPI could partner together in learning more about how we conduct business here in Houston and in Mexico. We had 20 AMPI members from all over Mexico attend and gave them an interactive experience and showcased Houston and what it has to offer. They were able to attend the global dinner showcasing Peru with HAR TREPAC and thanks to the HAR Global Advisory group members they were also able to attend open houses, the Houston Rodeo, their international gala and even be a part of HLSR Grand Entry.
