The Governmental Affairs and Advocacy Department is committed to keeping you informed of critical policies and issues that impact your business every day. HAR Staff and Volunteer leadership collaborate closely with local, state, and federal lawmakers, governmental entities, and affiliated industry organizations to advance both you and your client’s interests.

Role of the Governmental Affairs and Advocacy Department:
Government Relations – Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials.
Member engagement – Valuable activities that advance political awareness and networking events that advance the profession.
Advocacy Education – Training to effectively discuss issues impacting the real estate industry and private property owners with elected officials and community stakeholders
