Engage, the annual HAR member conference, had a packed house on October 13. Fifteen sessions and six hours of continuing education credits were offered to those that arrived by 9 a.m. and left after 4:15 p.m.
Topics ranged from the Houston economy, real estate industry lawsuits, ways to recruit and retain, how HAR is evolving, AI and real estate, social media, video, cybersecurity, leadership lessons from the FBI and more! (You may download several of the speakers’ presentations HERE.)
Terry Watson opened the day with a focus on recharging your batteries and re-engaging with your community and fellow agents.
Members listened to flamenco music during lunch and heard the Texas REALTORS® executive leadership team share news about the state association.
The break room was available for members to have a cup of coffee and visit vendors, including a photo booth.
Tommy Choi closed out the day with his session sharing “Lessons on Success from My Dry Cleaner.”
HAR Engage Conference Scholarship Winner
Marina Gutierrez was the recipient of the inaugural HAR Engage Conference Scholarship. Meeting all eligibility criteria, this professional worked full-time in real estate, had never attended the HAR Engage Conference, and boasted a remarkable track record of closed transactions from the previous year.
She also demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, volunteering with HAR, TR, and NAR. Additionally, a glowing letter of recommendation from her broker/manager underlined her potential for continued success in the industry. This scholarship recognizes her excellence and invests in her future accomplishments. As the scholarship winner, Marina received a complimentary ticket to the 2023 HAR Engage Conference and one year of HAR MLS dues.
