The primary runoff elections were held in Texas on May 24, 2022. HAR had two recommended candidates in this election, one of whom won while the other came up short.
In Texas House District 76, HAR Recommended Candidate Suleman Lalani (D) defeated Vanesia Johnson (D) after receiving nearly 63% of the votes. Lalani (D) will face Dan Mathews (R) in the general election.
In the race for Fort Bend County Commissioner Pct. 4, Dexter McCoy (D) defeated HAR Recommended Candidate Neeta Sane (D), 60% to 40%. McCoy (D) will face Ray Aguilar (R) in the general election.
Other than any that will require a recount, all general election matchups are now set across the state. The general election will be held on November 8, 2022.
