Dynamic List of Available Resources for HAR Members Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic (Updated June 23, 2020 at 10:55 a.m.)

Governor Greg Abbott has suspended a statute concerning in-person notaries and real-estate transactions such as mortgages. This suspension temporarily allows for appearance before a notary public via videoconference when executing such documents, which will avoid the need for in-person contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. More information on the Governor’s order can be found HERE.  

Homeland Security deemed Real Estate as an essential service on March 28, 2020. Read the list of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers HERE.

Governor Greg Abbott also deemed Real Estate as essential across the entire state of Texas through April 30. This order supersedes all county orders, making Real Estate practice during the COVID-19 Pandemic the same from county to county.
