2nd Annual Inshore Invitational

The Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals (ACRP) connected over 125 CRE professionals for their 2nd Annual Inshore Invitational, a benefit fishing tournament raising about $20,000 for the ACRP Education Fund and the Galveston Bay Foundation.

Located on the cusp of San Leon, just 25 miles north of Galveston, ACRP’s fishing tournament launched from the praised Topwater Grill.  At 6 a.m. sharp, 30 teams, comprised of 4 anglers each, set out for a full morning of saltwater fishing with the hopes to hook this season’s largest redfish, trout and flounder.

“We are just really pleased with the turnout this year. This is the second year that we have hosted this event and to have a 40% increase over last year in the number of teams participating is just outstanding. Couple that with being blessed with great weather and the fact that the fish were really biting, and you couldn’t ask for a better outing, ” states Randy Young, ACRP’s Community Affairs Director. “As one of our largest fundraising events of the year, I am glad that everyone had a good time and we were able to raise even more money than last year to support our charities.”

ACRP will dedicate the proceeds of this tournament to the ACRP Education Fund as well as the Galveston Bay Foundation. Commemorating their 30th Anniversary of active community stewardship, ACRP celebrates the opportunity to give back.

The ACRP Education Fund supports local masters-level education programs, college scholarships as well as other organizations like the ACE Mentor Program of America which advances over 8,000 high school students studying architecture, construction and engineering.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1987 under the laws of the State of Texas, the Foundation’s strength is that it involves a true cross-section of Bay interests to address issues and concerns related to Galveston Bay.

  • 3rd Place Heaviest Stringer: Jeff Dierschke, James Ledbetter, Jay White and Jovan Garcia, all with DBR Engineering.
  • Biggest Flounder: Jed Stevers, Camden Construction.
  • Biggest Trout: Rob Bryant, Simpkins Group.
  • Biggest Redfish: Scott Robinson, Camden Construction.
