You might have noticed what looks like a disclaimer but is actually two TREC links at the bottom of the homepage of all Texas broker and agent websites. The links read: “Texas Real Estate Commission Consumer Protection Notice | Texas Real Estate Commission Information About Brokerage Services.”
This is not an error. That text must be displayed in 10-point font beginning on February 1, 2016 to comply with a TREC rule approved in 2015 regarding professional ethics and conduct. You may read the rule here.
