At the December 9, 2013 Houston City Council meeting, HAR member Ray Holtzapple was re-appointed to serve as the City’s Representative on the Board of Directors of the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD). His appointment is for a two-year term commencing on January 1, 2014 and ending on December 31, 2016. Ray just completed a two-year term on the HCAD board.
Ray brings to HCAD his extensive experience in lending, home construction and remodeling. His career includes more than 25 years in engineering and construction industries. He has been the CFO of several start-up energy related companies, and the Vice President of Project Finance for an electric power facility development company. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. In addition, he has studied real estate courses in new home construction and graduate-level finance and investment.
HAR congratulates Ray on his appointment and thanks Mayor Annise Parker, Houston City Councilman Oliver Pennington and all Council Members for their support for Ray’s appointment.
