HAR’s fourth annual NRG ‘20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate Awards’salutes excellence in sales, leadership and community involvement
The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) honored the winners of its fourth annual NextGen REALTOR® Group (NRG) 20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate Awards.
Awards went to 20 Houston-area real estate professionals aged 40 years or younger who demonstrated excellence throughout the past year in the areas of sales, leadership and community involvement. The winners, all members of HAR, represent what the selection committee considered an overall well-rounded REALTOR®.
The 2013 winners are as follows:
Alex Rezende – RE/MAX Prestige
Alex was born in Brazil and is a father of four. He loves sports and extreme activities like car racing, skydiving, piloting planes, and scuba diving. Alex holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, enjoys teaching children, and is passionate about real estate and serving others.
Alfonso Parodi – Realty Associates
Alfonso is a dynamic agent and leader with a vision for improving our industry. In just 3 short years, he has built a network of exemplary vendors, a strong foundation of clients, and a team of agents that work together to achieve the best with every transaction.
Ashton Martini – Martha Turner Properties

Bridget is a native Houstonian and has ranked as a Top Producer every year. She is a Broker Associate and earned her BBA degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Bridget is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Chance Brown – Chance Brown Real Estate
Chance started his career on the homebuilding side, but quickly realized that his passion was helping people find the right home. Since getting his license, he has produced at a high level every year. He enjoys riding motorcycles, reading, and spending time with his family.
Cherin Cox–John Daugherty REALTORS®
A native Houstonian who’s passionate about life and real estate; Cherin believes each client should feel like they’re her only client. She’s served as WCR-Houston Chapter President, on TAR and HAR Committees, is a TRLP Grad, and has volunteered her time to numerous local charities.
Chris Grizzaffi – Keller Williams Metropolitan
A native Houstonian, Chris has focused on real estate and construction since graduating from Texas A&M University. Awarded Rookie of the Year in 2012, Chris grows his flourishing business with his wife, Jessica, and enjoys giving back by participating in several local and national philanthropies.
Courtney Robertson – Greenwood King
Courtney is a fourth generation Houstonian who is passionate about her family, faith and real estate. She has been a Top Producer from the beginning. A graduate of SMU, she currently serves on the board of St. Francis and enjoys spending time with her family.
Danny Garcia – Realm Real Estate Professionals
Danny comes to the real estate profession from the banking industry with a strong background in personal and business finance. His background, along with his superior knowledge of local markets make him a one stop shop for his clients’ real estate needs.
Gene Glaeser Jr.– Keller Williams Realty Greater Northwest
Gene is a native Texan through and through. While originally from Brenham, he now calls Cypress, TX his home. Gene couples his dedication to helping others in his office, community, and Keller Williams charities with his work ethic.
Haley Garcia – Heritage Texas Properties
Motivated by a genuine desire to help others, Haley is recognized as an industry leader. Consistently recognized as a Top Producer, Haley continues to exceed her goals. Actively involved in her community, Haley was one of four founding members of The Women of The Woodlands.
Jack Burns Brady – Hometown America Incorporated
Jack is a native Houstonian and graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. He has worked at his family owned business since 1992 and is currently a broker associate and loan officer. Jack enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and is an avid sports follower.
Jessica McCreary – Keller Williams Memorial
Jessica is a fourth generation Houstonian who grew up in Memorial. This past quarter, she was in the top 5% of agents at her office. A graduate of Baylor, Jessica is on the board of her chapter of DAR and serves with the Junior League.
Michael A. Crider – Keller Williams Realty Greater Northwest
Michael grew up in and around Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M Galveston. His priorities are God, family and business. He currently serves on the board at Houston’s First Church of the Nazarene and is passionate about growing a strong real estate career.
Michelle Posey – BHGRE Gary Greene
Michelle is a consistent Multi- Million-Dollar Top Producer who is devoted to her career and volunteering for the Sunshine Kids Foundation. She currently serves on the NRG Advisory board and enjoys spending time with her supportive family. She loves cooking and her BTSAs!
Nancy Jane Otto – Greenwood King
Known for a commitment to hard work, Jane is a top-producing agent dedicated to client priorities. Prior to real estate, she worked in fundraising and earned a master’s in social work. In addition to work and volunteer commitments, she enjoys time with friends and family.
Peyo Rubio – RE/MAX Northwest
Peyo emigrated from Mexico at the age of 4 and became a citizen at the age of 18. He is passionate about his family, community involvement, and real estate. He has been a Top Producer from the start and is a Business Masters Graduate of U of H.
Sarah Ghandour – Natalie Glass Properties
From an Eastern European and Middle Eastern background, Sarah represents a true multi-cultural Houstonian. With eight years of experience, she specializes in condominium and new home sales. She is a member of the NRG Advisory Group, is involved in her church, and contributes to the community regularly.
Sarah Schnell Jones – Bamboo Realty
Sarah is the broker/owner of Bamboo Realty in Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth. Recognized as an industry change agent, her “team first” approach and strategic use of corporate culture and branding propelled the firm to the national stage. Sarah’s passions include charity, adoption, yoga and traveling.
Tania Amin – John Daugherty, REALTORS®
Tania is a native Houstonian who approaches real estate with unyielding professionalism, widespread market knowledge, and contagious enthusiasm. She takes pride in her commitment to her clients and passion for her career. A University of Texas graduate, Tania enjoys, spending time with her family and friends, travel, and charity.
The 2013 winners were selected from a highly competitive field of entries and a record number of applicants.
More than 400 brokers, agents, friends and family turned out to honor the recipients at NRG’s fall luncheon on September 26 at The Bayou City Event Center.
