The Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) hosted a unique cultural event on Thursday, March 21. The Night at the Imperial reception was held at the new Center for the Arts located in historic downtown Rosenberg.
Attendees enjoyed live entertainment from Imperial Arts’ repertoire of musicians while admiring the sculpture art of renowned Fort Bend artist Jim Adams. Adams’ work in iron and steel is abstract and powerful and has gained national attention.
The entertainment and lively banter of the audience continued throughout the evening, interrupted only briefly when Fort Bend County Commissioner James Patterson held a live auction. Commissioner Patterson had the audience on the edge of their seats with spirited bidding. The event raised more than $7,700 for TREPAC 2013.
Among the 120 attendees were Fort Bend Area REALTOR® members, affiliate members, local elected officials and individuals from area businesses. Elected officials in attendance included Rosenberg Mayor Vincent Morales, Rosenberg City Council Members Juan Salazar and Cynthia McConathy and City of Meadows Place Alderman John Isbell.
“This was an exciting opportunity for Fort Bend REALTORS®,” said event Chair Susan Friedman of Fort Bend Real Estate Corporation. “Imperial Arts is a wonderful organization and we are excited to work with them to provide local REALTORS® this unique look at the culture thriving right here in their community. The real estate business is all about selling the lifestyle of the local community and about protecting the rights of our clients – the homeowners – and we combined those efforts in this event. There was a fabulous, fun, welcoming vibe that I haven’t seen at an HAR TREPAC event in a while. ”
Special thanks goes to the HAR Fort Bend PAALS Group and HAR TREPAC Trustees Joan Berger and JoAnn Stevens for all of their efforts in organizing the event. To see more great photos, please click here.
