On November 2, after participating in nine leadership and business building sessions through the 2012 calendar year, 29 HAR members graduated from the 2012 TRLP. These intense sessions included team building, spokesperson training, business planning, time management, learning to lead across differences, law, legislature and much more. The group went above and beyond by raising more than $12,000. All funds were donated to the Jamie’s Hope Foundation, which has been established to help fund M.D. Anderson’s targeted therapy research for rare cancers.
