The 2024 HAR Engage Conference, held on October 17th at the Norris Conference Center, provided a full day of in-person learning for Houston’s real estate community. Doors opened early at 7:30 a.m., inviting hundreds of agents, brokers, and investors to a packed agenda of eighteen sessions and numerous networking opportunities hosted by the Houston Association of Realtors® (HAR).
Throughout the day, attendees heard from influential industry figures like keynote speakers Meredith Elliot Powell and Karen Walrond, as well as HAR leaders including René Galvan and 2024 HAR Chair Thomas Mouton. The program also featured insights from CoreLogic Chief Economist Selma Hepp, who discussed market trends, and HAR legal counsel Grant Harpold, who covered key issues in real estate lawsuits. A Texas REALTORS® 360 panel, led by TAR President & CEO Travis Kessler, explored the broader state of real estate across Texas.
Topics ranged widely, allowing attendees to select sessions based on their interests. The agenda included discussions on critical areas like talent retention for brokers, economic outlooks, and adapting compensation strategies to the shifting industry landscape. Attendees also explored tools to manage seller expectations in today’s evolving market, gained insights into client diversity, and learned how to leverage AI for productivity and marketing. Additionally, fast paced classes delved into video marketing tactics to boost real estate success.
Licensed agents benefited from 6 hours of CE credit, making this event both educational and essential for professional growth. HAR Engage 2024 delivered a well-rounded experience, equipping professionals with knowledge and tools to thrive in Houston’s dynamic real estate market.
