Dear HAR Members and Partners,
As we reflect on the past year, it is with great pride that we present the Annual Report of the Houston Association of Realtors Global Advisory Group. This year has been remarkable, marked by growth, collaboration, and a renewed focus on expanding opportunities for our members and partners both locally and globally. The Global Advisory Group consists of thirty-one REALTOR® Members and thirty honorary members, all of whom have played a crucial role in our successes.
Local Achievements:
Our local initiatives have focused on increasing CIPS educational opportunities, strengthening connections within the international real estate community—including partnerships with AMPI, the Mexico Real Estate Association, and the Belize Real Estate Association—and fostering diversity and inclusion within our network. We launched a series of educational seminars and mentorship programs that provided critical insights into global real estate trends and best practices, equipping our members with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in today’s competitive market. Our HAR Global Day was a tremendous success, attracting attendance from local, national, and international members. Throughout the year, our members have also traveled extensively, connecting with colleagues in numerous countries across all five continents.
Statewide Partnerships:
At the state level, our partnership with the Texas REALTOR® Association has allowed us to create a more cohesive strategy to promote Texas as a premier destination for international real estate investments. By hosting statewide forums and collaborating closely with economic development organizations, we’ve positioned Texas as a leader in global real estate opportunities. These efforts have not only streamlined regulatory processes but also enhanced collaboration between local and international stakeholders.
Global Impact:
Our international partnerships have reached new heights this year. We’ve strengthened our relationships with key markets, including the Austin, San Antonio, MetroTex, and Fort Worth REALTOR® Associations, through trade missions, virtual summits, and strategic alliances. These partnerships have facilitated cross-border investments, providing our members with access to new markets and opportunities. Additionally, our participation in international conferences and events has raised the profile of the Houston real estate market on a global scale. We also added the OMNI MLS to our member base, which now highlights properties in twenty-six countries throughout Central and South America. Moreover, by syndicating our MLS with both San Antonio and Austin, we’ve empowered our members to broaden their influence and enhance the experiences of buyers and sellers alike.
The accomplishments of the past year would not have been possible without the dedication of our members, partners, and sponsors. Your contributions have allowed us to build bridges across borders, create new opportunities for collaboration, and solidify Houston’s role as a global hub for real estate innovation and investment.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the future of our Global Advisory Group and the opportunities that lie ahead. We remain committed to driving excellence, fostering partnerships, and creating pathways for success for our members in both the domestic and international real estate arenas.
