With more than four decades of experience on both the residential and commercial sides of the real estate industry, John Nugent is a broker associate with RE/MAX Space Center in Clear Lake, Texas. John has worked in all aspects of the business, ranging from a salesman, broker associate, broker, broker-manager and broker-owner.
After graduating from the University of Texas in 1966, John served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 as an intelligence officer. Upon receiving his real estate license in 1970, he launched his career with the commercial real estate firm of Laguarta, Gavrel & Bolin. John has been a part of the transition from the old world to the current world of real estate and is helping to spearhead the next transition into the future of the industry.
John served as the president of the Bay Board of REALTORS® in 1999 and was instrumental in the merger with the Houston Association of
REALTORS® (HAR). In 2019, he has proudly served as HAR chairman-elect.
John and his wife Madeline live in Nassau Bay, Texas and have four children and five grandchildren – all of whom live nearby.
